The saying is true – give a little, get a lot. Today marks World Sight Day: an annual day of awareness to focus global attention on blindness, visual impairment and rehabilitation of the visually impaired.
In support of this mission, ClearlyContacts.ca has extended their goal of donating two million pairs of eyeglasses by the year 2020 through the Change the View project to also include maximum UV protected sunglasses and eye vitamins.
This year the Change the View project visited Vancouver’s downtown eastside, in partnership with the bi-annual Providence in the Park event, to help with vision testing so those who would otherwise not have access to prescription glasses could walk away with a pair of their very own. The Change the View project has donated over 4000 pairs of eyeglasses throughout the downtown eastside this year alone.
